At Altos de Chavon you can spend a few hours walking the cobblestone streets, where you can transport yourself to a replica of a sixteenth-century charming Italian village right under the Caribbean Sun.

When you’re hungry, you’ll have various dining options… as you dine you’ll feel as if you’re in the Old World… at night the scene is even more romantic when lanterns add a golden glow to the stone walls.

Altos de Chavon has a variety of gift shops, if you love jewelry you’ll find unique pieces with the beautiful stones of Amber & Larimar, only found in the Dominican Republic.  Don’t miss the Amber Museum and the Archaeological Regional Museum.

Getting to Altos de Chavon is an easy drive from Punta Cana by using Google Maps.  You can rent a car for a day and spend the full day at Casa de Campo.  After taking a self-guided tour at Altos de Chavon, you can head to Minitas Beach where you can enjoy the beach and dine at the beachfront restaurants.
